I don’t know how it’s almost December already or why this week has been so damn busy.

Tuesday evening after boot camp, I called my big brother to see what the deal for Thanksgiving was. The only details I knew were that it was happening at his house, and around 15-20 people would be there. After a quick phone conversation, I somehow had ended up with meal planning AND cooking responsibilities. (Um… What?) Turkey day is in less than one week. Sweet Potato Fries + Avocado Dipping Sauce


My meal plan has me eating either brown rice, sweet potatoes, or quinoa at both lunch and dinner every single day. These are all low-GI (Glycemic Index) complex carbs that help keep you full longer, contain better nutrients, and regulate your blood sugar. My dad is diabetic, which puts me at a higher risk of developing diabetes, and low-GI carbohydrates help lower this risk. I happened to stumble upon this recipe in a magazine at the nail salon over the weekend. Super easy, delicious, and way better than regular french fries.
